MUNDELEIN — He’s off to Whitewater.

Matt Langlie, one of the pitching standouts for Mundelein High School’s 34-win baseball team, will attend UW-Whitewater this fall.

The Warhawks are a perennial Division III power. They won a national title in 2005.

Langlie, who wound being a co-ace with senior left-hander Jared Mandel (11-1, 1.17 ERA, 83 Ks, 44 hits, 72 IP), finished the 2012 campaign with a 9-2 record and a sparkling 0.80 earned run average. The right-hander allowed only 47 hits in 70 innings with 59 strikeouts and 20 walks.
