Boys Basketball: Lakes holds on to beat Carmel Catholic

A late charge came up short for Carmel Catholic’s boys basketball team on Tuesday night.

The Corsairs fell to host Lakes 63-60 despite putting up 27 points in the fourth quarter.

Lakes (15-7) held on by coming up with 20 fourth-quarter points.

Ian Kristan led the Corsairs with 14 points, while Tanner Blain led all scorers with 22.

Connor Jordan (11 points) and Nickai Poyser (10 points) also reached double figures for Carmel (7-12, 1-3). Leading scorer Brandon Motzel was held to eight points.
