Steve Crane hopes his gamble on video gaming will pay big dividends. Crane, co-owner of McCarthy’s Restaurant and Irish Pub in the Westfield Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, believes video gaming would be a boost to his business and a nice complement to karaoke and live music. “Our customers are very excited about it,” said Crane. District 75 approves teachers contract Mundelein Elementary School District 75 has reached a new two-year contract with its teachers’ union, the Mundelein Elementary Education Association. The new contract begins on July 1 and runs through June 30, 2014. Under the new contract, each teacher will receive an increase in salary of .5 percent plus a 2 percent step increase based on experience for the 2012-2013 school year.
