Darryl Taggart, a resident of Hawthorn Woods who for the last five years has been helping to maintain the two ice rinks at Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills, drives circles around the hockey rink on one of two Olympia Ice Resurfacers.

“I cut the ice about five times a day during my day shifts” said Taggart, who has been working at Glacier Ice Arena for seven years.
