AVID graduate earns scholarship
Celia Parra-Hanson, a 2012 graduate of Mundelein High School, has earned an $800 scholarship from the MHS AVID program. Parra-Hanson is in the first MHS class of AVID program graduates. She will attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee next year.
AVID is a national program that assists highly motivated students in taking challenging courses in high school and to continue on with college studies. MHS has offered the AVID Program to students for the past three years.
