Mundelein Police Blotter for Aug. 6

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Mundelein Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
MUNDELEIN
SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Bonnie J. Chiquini, 22, of 325 Stafford Drive, Mundelein, was charged with driving while license suspended, failure to yield from a private drive and three child restraint violations on Aug. 1 at Hickory west of Route 45. Officer observed a vehicle pull from a private drive and block both southbound lanes of Route 45. The vehicle then pulled in front of the officer causing the officer to brake rapidly in order to avoid a collision. As the vehicle completed its turn the officer observed a small child stand up in the back seat of the vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle the officer observed two additional children in the back seat of the vehicle. The second child was strapped in a car seat but the seat was not secured to the vehicle. The third child was unsecured in a car seat and that car seat was also unsecured to the vehicle, reports say. She was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond pending an Aug. 23 court date in Mundelein.
WARRANT
Zenon Gomez-Gallardo, 27, of 26205 Oak Ave., Mundelein, was arrested on a DUI warrant on Aug. 3 in the 900 block of South Lake Street. Subject was stopped by an officer for questioning. Officer learned subject was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court regarding a DUI and subject was arrested, reports say. He was taken to court for a bond hearing on Aug. 4 in Waukegan and no further court information was available.
