Mundelein Police Blotter for July 30

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Mundelein Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
MUNDELEIN
DUI
Abel Artega, 46, of 919 Bayview Court, Round Lake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI (BAC over .08), improper lane usage and no insurance following a traffic stop on July 20 at Route 60 and Route 83. Subject was stopped for improper lane usage. Officer observed signs of intoxication, field sobriety tests were performed and the subject was arrested, reports say. He posted his drivers license and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond pending an Aug. 24 court date in Waukegan.
Daniel Macedo, 19, of 42 S. Shaddle #117, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI (BAC over .08), equipment violation, registration violation, consumption of alcohol by a minor, no drivers license and no insurance after a traffic stop on July 23 at Shaddle and Orchard. Subject was stopped for driving with one of the vehicles tires missing. Officer observed signs of intoxication, field sobriety tests were performed and the subject was arrested, reports say. He was released on a $3,000 recognizance bond pending an Aug. 17 court date in Waukegan.
