Mundelein Police Blotter for July 2

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Mundelein Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

MUNDELEIN

ANIMAL CRUELTY

Armando Rivas, 22, of 401 Rays Lane, Mundelein, was charged with animal cruelty on June 30. Officers responded to 401 Rays Lane for an animal cruelty complaint, reports say. Officers arrived and observed a dog in the backyard in distress with no food or water. There was nobody home at the residence. The dog was taken to the Mundelein Police Department. The dog’s owner was later located and arrested, reports say. He was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond pending a July 20 court date in Waukegan.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Rajneish K. Poyser, 18, of 926 Hillwood Circle, Round Lake, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer on June 29 at the McDonald’s restaurant, 151 N. Lake St. Reports say officers observed a disturbance inside of the McDonalds. Officers attempted to escort subject outside of the restaurant, the subject resisted officers and was arrested, reports say. He was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond pending an Aug. 3 court date in Waukegan.

DUI

Jason D. True, 35, of 903 Sparta Court, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, equipment violation and registration violation following a traffic stop on June 25 at Route 45 and Hilgers Court. Reports say subject was stopped for an equipment violation and registration violation. Officer observed signs of intoxication, field sobriety tests were performed and subject was arrested, reports say. He posted his driver’s license and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond pending a July 20 court date in Waukegan.
