Mandy Mae is a beautiful girl who would rather get some love from people than play with even the most interesting toy.

Although she is lovely and sweet, she has lost her home twice through no fault of her own.

Mandy was rescued from a rural, high kill shelter. She was quickly adopted, but ended up back at the shelter when the family’s situation changed.

Mandy loves attention and, in fact, has been known to demand it. (A gentle paw on the lap is her way of saying, “Please pet me!”)

She gets along with everyone. Look at the tilt in her head – she really doesn’t understand why she’s in a cage forced to live without the attention and love that she craves.

Because Mandy is not a little dog, she isn’t afraid of a little hugging or rough play. Big dogs can take the sometimes rougher treatment that kids dole out unthinkingly.

Visit Mandy at Save-A-Pet and you will be smitten. Guaranteed. But don’t think about adopting her unless you are willing to make a truly lifetime commitment. She deserves nothing less. Don’t disappoint Mandy again.

Save-A-Pet is committed to saving animals without the killing. They take in animals from many sources and the volunteers work with dogs. While you’re at Save-a-Pet, make a donation if you can. The cats and dogs there will appreciate it.

Save-A-Pet is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to finding loving, quality homes for each cat and dog in its care. Pets are sheltered indefinitely. The shelter strives to create an environment which enhances both awareness of and support for the humane treatment of animals. Save-A-Pet is located at 31664 North Fairfield Road, Grayslake.
