What could be more wonderful than spending a day in the country with your family?

How about knowing that, at the same time, you are helping support programs for men and women with developmental disabilities.

That’s what will happen when you attend Lambs Farm’s Country Bumpkin Festival, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at 14245 W. Rockland Road, Libertyville.

“It’s $10 for ages 2 and up and that includes live music, activities and admission to the Farmyard and attractions,” said Jackie Rachev, communications coordinator. “We’re going to have a bungee bull, face painting and clowns. There’ll be line dancing and square dancing lessons, and all sorts of other events for the whole family.”

The musical lineup includes Bella Cain at 10:30 a.m., Easy Louise at 1:30 p.m. and Heartache Tonight, an Eagles tribute band, at 5 p.m.
