1. The Visiting Artists Program, directed by Donna Sands of Libertyville, will hold its annual fundraiser, “Sunday in the Park,” from 1-4 p.m. July 1 in a garden at 1810 Saunders Road, Riverwoods. The event features wine and beer tastings, hors d’oeuvres, and an exhibit of works by Lake County artists. Tickets are $20. 2. Tribute to Kate Smith with Stephanie Blythe, mezzo-soprano, and Craig Terry, piano, will be presented at 8 p.m. July 2 in the Martin Theatre at Ravinia Festival, Lake-Cook and Green Bay roads, Highland Park. $40-$60; lawn seating is $10. 3. “10 Ways to Kill Your Husband,” a farce by resident playwright Scott Woldman, plays through July 13 at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W. Campbell St., Arlington Heights. Unlikeable husband Steve goes about his day, oblivious to all the attempts on his life as the dead bodies literally pile up around him. Tickets are $35. 4. “Montage, an Anniversary Spectacular,” a mix of equestrian and performing arts, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. June 30 at McCrae Farm, 32159 N. Bacon Road, Grayslake. The performance will feature horses and riders performing a variety of dances including liberty, La Garrocha and classical dressage, accompanied by musicians.
