Literary critic William Deresiewicz speaks about his book, A Jane Austen Education: How Six Novels Taught Me About Love, Friendship, and the Things That Really Matter, at 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, at the Highland Park Public Library, 494 Laurel Ave. Part memoir, part literary criticism, Deresiewicz’s book looks back at his youth and explains how he realized the relevance of Austen’s message and the triumph of her vision.
